An H&A Christmas Tradition of Giving Back

Each year, Hawley & Associates participates in one of our client's annual gift drive, benefiting local youth and families in need. 
Southeast Youth and Family Services is a non-profit social service agency, who's mission is to assist children, youth and families in the Seattle area in achieving safe, stable and sustainable lives. 
H&A truly believes in giving back to our community and we are so excited to be able to make someone's Christmas a little more special. This year we purchased gifts for 16 very special kids, ranging from 8 mos. to 15 years old.
The presents are loaded in Santa's sleigh (disguised as an SUV!) and ready to be delivered!

Hawley & Associates Attends & Sponsors The 2015 Gladney Cup

Hawley & Associates was so excited to be part of The Gladney Cup - 2015 Ocean Invitational Tournament, benefiting The Gladney Center for Adoption.  The Gladney Cup has been a golfing tradition for the past 15 years.  It was held at the beautiful Olympic Club in San Francisco, CA. 

This year, Phil Hawley was honored not only to attended as a participant, but was also a major sponsor, by sponsoring a foursome in the tournament as well.

It was a beautiful venue and was played on two championship courses; the Olympic Course and the Lake Course, with the Olympic Course selling out!

For more than 125 years, Gladney has been a pioneer and leading voice for improving the lives of children, adoptive families and birth parents. The Gladney Cup has created a premier golf experience that blends two passions-the love of family and the love of golf.

Hawley & Associates Attends Bay Area Adoption Fundraising Gala

Phil Hawley was honored to attend Bay Area Adoption’s Fundraising Gala in November 2015.  It was held at the beautiful Carolands Chateau, just outside of San Francisco, Ca.  It was a magical evening, which included a silent auction and an incredible dinner.  The program was full of hope and amazing stories of family!  Thank you Bay Area Adoptions for the warm reception and for all you do in making the world a better place!

Hawley & Associates Sponsors & Attends WACAP Children's Hope Gala

We were excited once again to be a part of the WACAP's (World Association for Children and Parents) annual fundraising event, held at the Fairmont Hotel, in Seattle WA.  It was a new venue this year and it was absolutely beautiful!  There was a silent auction as well as a spectacular dinner.  The stories of families coming together through adoption was amazing! Thank you WACAP for all you do and for allowing us to be a part of it!

The American Academy of Adoption Attorneys will be hosting an October webinar entitled, "Avoiding Adoption Agency Liability": Tips for Getting and Staying Out of Hot Water" on October 14, 2015, at 2:00 EST.

This webinar will feature three outstanding presenters: Virginia Frank and Jeanne Tate, Fellows of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys, who represent multiple adoption agencies, and Phillip Hawley, the president of Hawley and Associates, an insurance broker specializing in coverage for adoption, child welfare and other agencies.

The price for this 90 minute webinar is only $30 per registrant. The webinar is open to agency representatives, social workers and anyone else who is interested in learning more on the topic so please feel free to share this information with friends and co-workers.

Hawley & Associates, in partnership with the NCFA (National Council for Adoption) came together once again to form the 2015 H&A Caring Fund Grant. The Grant is open to all NCFA National Adoption Conference attendees. This year we offered two grants in the amount of $5000.00 each.
All grant applications were carefully reviewed by the H&A Caring Fund Grant Committee and it was such a difficult decision to pick just two! There are so many wonderful organizations doing such amazing work!

The recipients selected for this years grants are:

Lifeline Children's Services
New Beginnings International Children's & Family Services

These grants will be aiding deaf orphans in Uganda to receive an education and life skills training, as well as acquiring much needed equipment and supplies to help sustain the operations of the center & school. The grant will also help build a new Adoption Support Center here in the US, offering post adoption support for families and children. The majority of these adopted children where exposed to trauma, neglect and other challenges. The center will offer counseling, support and intervention to these families.

2014 H&A Caring Fund Grant Recipient Says "Thank You" In A Big Way!

The 2014 H&A Caring Fund Grant recipient, Children's Home Society of WV sent us a very moving "Thank You" in the form of a PowerPoint presentation. With the grant monies, they were able to furnish a new visitation area and therapy room for the new Greenbrier Valley Children's Home! :-)  The presentation included details pictures of the new furniture, flooring and paint they were able to purchase for this new facility.  We are so excited to see the grant monies at work and thank you, Children's Home Society, for sharing all the wonderful pictures!

Hawley & Associates Sponsors and Attends the National Council for Adoption Annual Conference

Hawley & Associates is so honored to be associated with the National Council for Adoption (NCFA).  It was an amazing conference this year with record attendance.

Each year, H&A sponsors the conference as well as attends as exhibitors.  We are also the founders of the H&A Caring Fund Grant, in partnership with the NCFA.  This grant is open to all conference attendees and we received a record number of applications this year!  Applications are currently in review.

Phil Hawley & Heidi Cox of The Gladney Center for Adoption were asked to speak on the topic of Wrongful Adoption.  Their presentation was amazing, insightful and provided valuable information for attending adoption professionals. 

Hawley also sponsored an evening reception honoring international delegates and officials who are very instrumental in the process of international adoptions.  We had an amazing turnout and was great to meet all these individuals who dedicate their lives to helping children and families through adoption.

Hawley & Associates was excited to once again attend and sponsor this year's Orphans Overseas "Evening of Hope" Gala/Fundraiser.  This year it was held at The Nine's in Portland, OR.  What a beautiful venue!  Everyone had a great time and it's wonderful to see all the great work that is being done everyday to help children!

Hawley & Associates Attends NATSAP CONFERENCE in Nashville, TN.

Hawley & Associates was excited to exhibit at the 2015 NATSAP Conference in Nashville, TN. TJ Armstrong and Tammy Christensen represented H&A. Hawley & Associates also sponsored the North Country Bluegrass Band and they performed during conference breaks. They were a huge hit and a great addition to the event! What is Nashville without some bluegrass?!

They met some incredible people and have learned of some exceptional programs centering around in-patient, out-patient addiction treatment, residential treatment, at risk youth services & therapeutic schools.  We are so thrilled to be a part of this community by providing exceptional insurance products to these unique organizations.  The proper protection helps them continue to do what they do each and everyday!

Southeast Youth & Family Services Holiday Gift Drive

Each year, Southeast Youth & Family Services organizes a holiday gift drive for under priviledged youth in the Seattle area. Hawley & Associates is honored to be a part of this wonderful event and the Hawley 'Elves' delivered the gifts jus...t in time for Christmas morning! Southeast Youth's mission is to assist children, youth and families in achieving safe, stable and sustainable lives. They achieve their mission by providing counseling, educational, social and life skills programs for children, youth and their families. They serve people from all racial and ethnic backgrounds and various income levels, the majority of families being low-income, people of color.
